The New World team says the decision to delay the game again was not an easy one to make while also pointing out that it's not the first time the team has delayed the game in pursuit of the "highest quality game possible at launch" for players. It also said the game's support during the closed beta from players has been humbling and that more than a million players clocked in more than 16 million total hours of game time during it. The New World team says it's going to take the extra weeks to squash bugs, improve the game's stability, and polish the overall game. "We want New World's launch to be a smooth and fun experience for all players, and that means some improvements based on what you encountered during the Closed Beta." "Along the way, you've also given us a ton of feedback that we'll use to make New World even better," the message reads. This news comes by way of a message from the New World team posted to Twitter today in which the team explains that following the success of the recent closed beta, it needs more time to address the feedback it's received.Ī message from the New World team.
